Air-bubble film
Air-bubble film is a flexible transparent plastic material (polyethylene), the surface of which is uniformly covered with small protrusions filled with air. It is used for packing fragile objects and has shock-absorbing, moisture-insulating, noise-absorbing and heat-insulating properties.
Details
The main use is packaging to prevent damage during transportation and storage.
Having a low cost, air-bubble film has a number of significant advantages, such as low weight (which is a significant plus when transporting goods packed in it); high mechanical strength; a wide range of operating temperatures (from minus 60 to plus 80 ° C); dust and water resistance; high heat-insulating properties.
There are two-layer and three-layer air-bubble films.
Double-layerair-bubble film consists of two layers: a layer of bubbles and a smooth layer of polyethylene.
Three-layerair-bubble film consists of three layers, respectively: two layers of smooth polyethylene and a layer of bubbles located between them. Three-layer air-bubble film is a denser and stronger material compared to two-layer film.
The main parameters of films are bubble diameter and density. The thickness of the film directly depends on the diameter of the bubble. From the density – the amount of permissible load on the film. Accordingly, the higher the density, the greater the load the film can withstand.
The widest range of applications:
- for packing all types of furniture (kitchen, cabinet, upholstered, office, medical, etc.);
- electronics and equipment (it is necessary to add a special antistatic additive);
- optics;
- auto parts, etc.;
- dishes, porcelain, glass, mirrors;
- advertising products and lighting devices, valuables and antiques;
- when moving apartments and offices;
- dfor use in construction as noise, heat, moisture and wind insulation, etc.
